The 2D technology (double needle and single needle warp knit with and without weft insertion) offers a variety of possibilities. On the one hand, it produces highly solid structures without structural elongation as the threads are inserted in a linear way. On the other hand, the structures are extremely flexible and elastic thanks to the loops. Further optimisation can be achieved combining different materials.
